cd rom (E:) drive missing/ scanner HP6210 disabled

I get the error message 80070103 for the update for this printer. I cannot
load the disk because the computer will not read the e: drive. I have
caution exclamation points on devices and I have installed nothing but the
automatic updates. I really need to use the scanner. I have read the "help"
and feel completely inadequate. yeesh.

If you have a restore point from before the 80070103 trouble, it could
save you a lot of effort just in case rolling back turns out to be effective.
I suspect this to be a Vista issue rather than a WU issue - try contacting
HP Customer Care if my other two suggestions get you nowhere.
