Which brand cell phone is this and could you describe the model? Have you
checked the maufacturers website for information on software for Windows?
Most cell phones come with their own Syncing tools or if they are using
software such as Windows Mobile they will sync with the built in Windows
Mobile Device Center. My Motorola e398 uses the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools
software from BVRP.

check BitPim
google for it.
if you are on 64 bit vista, it is hard to find drivers.

I have an HP Ipac smartphone. I know that Vista doesn't use Active Sync, but
uses Mobile Device Center. The instruction on their site can be found here
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...c/default.mspx

The first time I installed Vista, I went back to XP because I couldn't get
my phone to sync up with MDC even though the iPac is listed as a Vista
compatible device, but this time around SP1 was available so I installed that
and all associated updates, followed the directions at the link above and
everything is working great. I hope this helps
