I installed Windows 2008 Ent Ed. Enterprise Root CA for my Exchange 2007.
But wehen ever I issue a certificate the validity of the certificate is valid
for a maximum of 1 year and Root Certificate is valid for 2 years. I read
that that this limitation can be over come with V2 or V3 templates
modification. I trying hard to find a simple document which describes the
procedure. Appreciate any asistance that is simple to achive the required
configuration.
I'll install Certificate service on the same server as CAS role is
installed. Should I install Exchange 2007 first and then Certificate service
or vice versa.
Regards

CA won't issue a certificate that has its lifetime longer than certificate of CA.

BTW. V1 certificate template (Web Server) has validity period set to 2 years.

Regards

Martin
