I just bought a new laptop and it came with Vista. On my previous laptop I
signed into my work e-mail by using a Smart Card ID reader made by Cherry
model St-1000U and used Activcard Gold 3.0 to read the ID card. When I go to
our home page to log in I would normally get a popup window to select my
certificate and then continue to the sign in page. Here is my problem - I
connected the smart card ID reader to my new laptop and it installed the
drivers - I loaded Activcard Gold and it doesn't read the card. Next when I
open our home page the popup window is empty - no certificates to select
from. I reloaded the software numerous times - is it possible it's not
capable with Vista ?

Thanks

Very good perception! Can you install the Drivers in XP Compatibility mode,
and post back with the result.
If you still have probs after, and if, you get everything installed
properly, the website is not Vista compatible the way it is written.

Problem Resolved - Our IT department at work gave me ActivClient 6.1 to read
my Smart Card reader and everything is working - seems Activcard Gold 3.0 is
not capable with Vista...

Problem Resolved - Our IT department at work gave me ActivClient 6.1 to read
my Smart Card reader and that works without any problems - seems Activcard
Gold 3.0 is not capable with Vista..
