My C: folder type is set to Music, I guess, as it shows Artist et
columns
How can I change it to All Types, or Documents
I tried the tutorial, setting it first to NotSpecified and rebooting
no change, then Documents and rebooting -- still no change
There is no Customize option on C: or C:\Windows, so, according to th
Tutorial, I changed C:\Users. C:\Users changed but not C: o
C:\Windows

Hello Dougham

Method Two in this tutorial will show you how to reset the folder vie
settings so that Vista will use the "All Items" folder template for al
Windows Explorer windows

Hope this helps

Nice link... it's incredible that you have to go through that much
pain to get Vista to do something that was automatic in previous
versions of the OS. Microsoft really has it's head up it's butt on
these dumbed down, automatic Vista changes.

Agreed Bob. It is a lot to do, so I had made a REG download at that link
to make it easy. I hope it is sorted out for you now.
