That is possibly your "problem". This is not supported by MS, each NIC which
you want to use in your Failover Cluster MUST be on separate subnets.

No, this is done automatically by the cluster. NETFT should be responsible
for this.

PS : As you had mentioned "failover cluster" my answer does belongs to
