Change of computer

I am thinking of buying a new computer. I wonder if i can use my current OS
(WIN2000) on my new computer. If I use the disk I received when I bought my
current I'll not have the service packs and updates installed in my current
PC. How do I proceed if I do not want to buy another OS?

Unfortunately, you can not use the disk that came with your old machine to
place an operating system on your new machine. The license states that any
software that is pre loaded on a computer must stay with that piece of
hardware. You can't move it to another piece of hardware.
