Home network
My Laptop a HP Vista sp2, I am a user with admin priveledges
my wife's pc win2k

Had the network for some time and was always able to access my wifes
pc from my vista laptop but I havent done so for some time

I'm about to move her data to an xp m/c and was about to do some file
moves from my vista laptop

When I went to access my wifes pc via the network I received a dialog
box headed 'change domain password'
Well I have never intentionally asked for pwords to be renewed so
can't imagie why vista is asking me this

so entered my existing pword and a new one etc
vista replies that my pword is incorrect

I go into cp/user accts and make sure the pword I am using is correct

Can someone tell me what is going on and how to overcome it please

Fortunately solved my own problem

For some inexplicable reason, on my wife's pc the user name I use to
access it from my vista laptop had 'prompt for new password when user
next accesses ' ticked
removed the tick and said 'never' to change and all is ok
