Change Explorer Default Folder Path

When you open Explorer the default folder path buried like
(C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\S tart Menu). How can you
set it to open to a folder of your choice?

When you right-click the Start button & select 'Explore', you are telling
Windows to explore the Start Menu. If you right-clicked your Documents,
selected 'Explore', and a folder other than Documents was opened, you'd
consider it a bug, wouldn't you?

If you want to access a certain folder without having to minimize all
windows, place a shortcut to that folder in the Quicklaunch toolbar or add
the folder to the taskbar as a toolbar.

Ok, I place a short cut in the task bar and that will work. However, I would
have thought MS would give the user more application options to direct the
application. Such as MS-Word, you can direct several file paths. Why can't
you use the same logic?

Also, when I open an attachment in Outlook 2007|VISTA, the "Always ask
before opeing this type of file" is now grayed out. In XP, I unchecked this
box. How do I get to unselect this option without messing with UAC?

If you open Word, create a new document, then go to save it, doesn't the
'Save As' dialog always open to the folder you told Word to keep your
documents in?

Does this happen for all file types or a particular file type? I don't have
Outlook 2007 installed under Vista yet, so I don't know if there are any
options in Outlook that control this. If it's a particular file type, it's
most likely governed by an 'EditFlags' value in the registry. More info

FTA_AlwaysUnsafe (0x00020000)
Prevents the "Never ask me" check box from being enabled. The user can
override this attribute through the File Type dialog box.
