Hi,
I have a 2 node Windows 2008 cluster that has 2 file shares.
We are going through a "re-IP" unfortunately and I need to move this
cluster to a different segment.

I was looking for information or step by step the best way to remove
clustered file shares on Windows 2008 and then how to change the IP's of
a Windows 2008 cluster. Once the cluster IP's are changed, I'll
recreate the clustered shares.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need to delete and recreate the file shares just to change the
IPs. I am assuming if you are moving this cluster to another segment, you'll
change the node IPs too. If that's the case, here's a high level set of
steps.

Stop cluster service on both nodes.
Change the IPs of the public network to reflect the new segment
Start the cluster service, cluster will detect the new IPs and create a new
cluster network
Connect to the cluster by going to start, run, 'Cluadmin .' This will allow
you to connect since the cluster IPs are still on the old network.
Change the IP addresses in the 'Cluster Group' and the file shares group to
reflect the new IPs.

That should be all there is too it.

Regards,

Hey, you can find same option on Windows 2008

If you select the cluster name at the top of the left pane, on the right
side in the middle pane, expand the Cluster Core Resources listing. Expand
the Cluster Name and the IP Address will be listed. Right-click on the IP
address and select Properties. On the General tab, you should be able to
change the IP address to a Static entry
