Can anyone tell me how to change the Save As location in Word 2003? I used
the programs option to change the location and this works for Save. Save As
wants to save in My Documents which VISTA will not allow. The account is
Admin. I have looked everywhere to find where Word 2003 stores its Save As
location including searching throught the registry.

Thank you!

"My Documents" does not exist in Vista; it is "Documents"
You are trying to save it in a junction point; no can do!
Go through your options of where to save it, and save it in a folder of your
choice in "Documents"

Thanks. In options the location is a separate folder which is not in
Documents or My Documents. Word 2003 will Save here but when you use Save As
it wants to save in My Documents.

So I need to find out how to change the Save As location in Word 2003.

'Save as' is to do with the format in which the file is saved.. examples..
doc, rtf, txt etc

To change the default location of saved files....

Open Word.. go to Tools > Options > File Locations tab.

In Word 2003
Tools - Options - File Locations - Documents
OK
