change to xp genuine version?

Hi,
I am using XP PRO and a lot os softwares already installed. I noticed that I
have to get a Genuine version of my XP PRO.
my current one was a corporate version. my concern is:
Will I have to reformat my system or will I have to reinstall all my
softwares again, after the putting the new OS?
or it gives me the option of changing it without touching my installed
programs?

There is no such thing as "corporate", but that name is often given to
pirated copies.
