changing the colors used in highlighting text.

How do i go about changing the colors used in highlighting text. i thought i
saw something about it on the initial set up but I cant seem to find it. i
am ussing Vista Home Priemum.Thanks.

This will work with some programs.

Right click on the screen.
Pick personalize
Windows color and appearance
Open classic appearance properties for more color options
Advanced
In the Item drop down list pick: Selected Items
Change the color.

3 ways,

1) switch to boring classic and then through the advanced settings you can
make that any color you want

2) download vistaglazz and a different theme from www.deviantart.com that is
made for vista (there are many there)

3) Buy windowblinds and use another theme

Me too! Many thanks. Got to the point where the Vista-chosen highligh
color, an ugly "cop car" blue, was driving me [more] insane. Changin
it: like a headache lifting
