I inadvertantly changed a .bat file association to open with Notepad and
didn't uncheck the box for it to just run once under Notepad. Now I need that
..bat file to be able to run and can't get rid of the Notepad association. Any
ideas?
Thanks

Try Control Panel/Default Programs/Associate a File Type or Protocol with a
Program

Control Panel/Default Program but how to set it to unassigned for a BAT
file, which mine is setting at that setting, is another story. Maybe, you
have to do a registry hack to set it back to unassigned.

can't you just remove .bat from associations and next time you have one, it
will ask what to open/associate it with.
