Hi
I have an oldish coputer with an Intel cpu and a Via chip set. It has Vista
and XP on a dual boot. The Vista was installed from an update version. I
want to use a faster CPU but have found that this means changing the
motherboard and possibly the memory as well as I only have amaximum of 800
fsb and 533 memory speed and I want 1333 fsb and 800 memory.
My question concerns the reinstallation of Vista. The licence may not cover
such a radical change to the hardware.
Will I have trouble reactivating it?
Cheers
Paul

A "Retail" version can be moved to a different machine.
An "OEM" version can be reinstalled after _repairing_ something like a
burned up motherboard (which is what you would be doing, of course).
