hi,

i've just got Vista, but i've noticed theres a button at the bottom that
puts my computer to "sleep"... how can i change it so that that button
instead "shuts down" my computer as default?

(it was so much easier on XP!)

thankyou very much

1. Open Power Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Contro
Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Powe
Options.

2. On the Select a power plan page, click Change plan settings for th
plan that you want to change.

3. On the Change settings for the plan page, click Change advance
power settings.

4. On the Advanced settings tab, expand Power buttons and lid, expan
Power button action, and then choose what you want your mobile PC to d
when you press the power button, for both when your mobile PC is runnin
on battery and when it is plugged in.

5. Click OK

Hi,

Better replace whole start menu with this program
http://www.VistaStartMenu.com/

In Vista Start Menu you can manage power buttons with right-click. It
also has useful power timer.
