I have a friend who speaks Spanish and I dont. How can I chat live and
translate back and forth?

Well you could use the Windows Live Translator and copy/paste back and forth:

There was a third-party written "activity" you could launch for Messenger to translate
automatically, but I'm afraid that's no longer available.

Finally, you can use Messenger Plus! Live (http://www.msgplus.net) and one of these Plus
