I get an error notification icon that indicates "last backup failed. If I
open the icon a Backup and Status Configuration box opens. If I click
details next to "The Last file backup did not complete successfully" under
Backup status it tells me :
The backup target drive J:\ failed with the following error:

The backup disk has a corrupted file system. Fix it using the disk error
checking tool, or choose a different backup location. (0x81000008)
But if I go to Computer -> J: -> Properties -> Tools and under error
checking choose Check now it tells me
Windows can't check the disk while it's in use
Do you want to check for hard disk errors the next time you start your
computer?
If I select Schedule disk check and reset if is not obvious that anything to
do with checking the disk happens. However the Backup Failed icon recurs on
the Taskbar. How do I get it to fix the J: drive? The J: drive is an
external USB hard drive. Another thing confuses me : in windows live care I
am backing up to the K: drive. What is this "other" non-live one care backup
thing?
Thanks ,
Chas
