How can I check on Windows Vista how many cores my computer has and if
it has bluetooth?

Click Start, type: devmgmt.msc, and hit enter. The "Processors" folder will
have multiple 'core' devices listed there. Bluetooth has an entry of its
own.

Use the "Ratings" feature. It helps the new users.

ty very much.

it only says Intel(R) 530 @ 1.73GHz, so it is single then? what does
530 @ 1.73 mean? what is 530, is 1.73GHz the actual processor speed?

if there are multiple processors will it explicitly say so?

Hold down the Windows key and the Pause/Break key simultaneously to ope
up the Control Panel > System and Maintenance > System window. Unde
processors it should list 2 CPU if you have 2 cores. (Also, if yo
click on the link in the left pane to go to Device Manager, then unde
Processors it should have 2 entries if you have a dual core computer.)
As for Bluetooth devices, if that entry is in Device Manager, your p
supports bluetooth, although none may be installed. You can go to thi
Microsoft page to see how to add bluetooth devices to your system

It actually says:

Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) 530 CPU @ 1.73GHz 1.73GHz

why does it say 1.73GHz twice there?

it only lists one under device manager processors

I'm not sure why the 1.73 GHz shows up twice; haven't been able to find
a page that describes how to decode the info in that window. But I
think the 530 CPU @ 1.73 GHz is all one specification. When I look at
my corresponding window, it says Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13
GHz 2.13 GHz. I believe the Celeron 530 is the name of your processor,
as mine is the Intel Core 2 6400. If you bring up the Run dialog box by
holding down Windows key and R simultaneously, then type MSINFO32.EXE
and hit the Enter key it will show you more detailed information in the
window that opens up. With System Information highlighted in the left
pane, under processor it has on my system much the same info, but it
also says "2 cores, 2 logical processors". Look at MSINFO32 on your
system to see what it says...
