0x800c0008 error message
When checking your date (including the year) and time, also check the Internet Time.
Double click on the date/time in the notification/system tray area, select Internet
Time Tab and then select update now. If it’s not already checked, check automatically
synchronize with an Internet Time Server – WinXP. Also check your Time Zone.
NB: SteveL question about BITS and WUAUSERV instructions were answered in his other
posting under "Checking for Windows Updates".
