I'm sorry, but I don't know if I believe that. For one, the "average"
"Chess player" rating is 1600. Kasparov only goes to 2350 which isn't
Grandmaster (I think Grandmaster is 2700?) but is quite a ways up there.
Now, if Chess Titans, at only 60%, is kicking the **** out of a 2350 rating
ON LEVEL 6 I'm willing to bet it could hang with GNU or Chessmaster on the
higher levels. FWIW, which admittedly isn't much, I taught myself chess at
about age 7 and have been playing off and on my whole life. I beat everyone
I've played pretty much, I realize that doesn't mean anything being the
average person that thinks they are a chess player isn't even close to a
1600 rating (which is just average in the Chess world). I guess what I'm
saying is either you must be a really good chess player if you are beating
Chess Titans on even
higher levels. Or everyone is just parroting the same old crud about it. I
guess I am going to have to come up with that Chessmaster cd after all. Or
maybe I misunderstood what you meant by "stymie." Anyhow, thanks for the
response. I don't mean to come off as a dickhead or anything.
