In XP, when I inserted a flash disk in a card reader, a dialog box came up
asking me to choose what default action was to be taken. My choice was to
open a folder showing the image files. I don't see a way to do this in
Vista. Help Appreciated - IM

You can change the Autoplay actions...
Start - Default Programs - Change Autoplay Settings

.... but I haven't had much luck in getting my camera or flash disk to be
automatically recognized.
I have to open Windows Photo Gallery, File - Import from Camera or Scanner -
and pick the correct drive letter...

Dave - I tried the Autoplay settings and you're right, it doesn't work. I
found a little utility called 'Quick Image Transfer'. It is VERY simple and
does exactly what I wanted. You might try it.
