Choose a different restore point is not an option when I go to system
restore. I can only see yesterday and today's restore point. How can I go
back to find older restore points or if that's not an option, how can I set
this up to restore and hold restores longer than 1 day? I updgraded to Vista
Ultimate from Windows XP.

I don't know, you only restore from existing Restore Points. But what is the
problem, or what are you trying to do otherwise, that you want to go back to
a restore point?

I am having a problem with several things and would like to go back to last
week to see if that would clear up the problem.

Hi Lauraty

Are you trying to select a restore point using the method in thi
tutorial

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...store-how.html

If you are, then you might want to manually create a restore poin
before you make any changes to your system. They should show up in th
list

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...int-create.htm

You may check and see how much space is being used by System Restor
for the restore points to see if that is enough for you. By default i
allocates 15% of your hard drive

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...disk-space.htm

Hope this helps

If you are dual booting between WinXP and Vista you will loose restore
points (known problem).

If you run a boot time defrag with PerfectDisk you will lose restore points
(another known problem).

My advice is to buy an external hard drive and backup your system. Its
free's up your OS hard drive and you can alocate as much space as you
want.
