Choosing the dreamscene in the desktop background window causes a Windows
host process(Rundll32) has stopped working. The thing to notice is that it
will pop up a number of these error messages. The exact number being the
number of mpeg files listed in the box below the location dropdown which
displays the icons for the mpegs you have.
If I change the location to videos which has wmv videos it does not cause
any errors, So my guess here is that it tries to show the preview of the
mpegs that are causing the the host process to stop working. Is there a fix /
path that some one at MS could come up with ??

below is some of the info from the crash

problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: RunDLL32.exe
Application Version: 6.0.6000.16386
Application Timestamp: 4549b0e1
Fault Module Name: StackHash_1703

Control Panel (Classic view) > Problem Reports and Solutions > View problem
history > right click on the problem and select "View Problem Details" and use
the "Copy to clipboard" link in the lower left corner and paste in a reply to
this thread.

Yeah, what Cal said - that's not a full crash report - it's missing the
Module Version and Fault Offset for starters, and the bucket number would be
really really useful.

Is nevideo.ax on this system?
