Chosen directory does not exist error

I am trying to install a registered program that was emailed to me by the
vendor. When I start the executable install program, an error window pops up
that states "Chosen directory does not exist and could not be created". I
have tried putting the install program on the desktop and in various folders
with no luck. I have tried installing after disabling my antivirus software
with the same results. The vendor cannot help and says it should install
properly without any problems. Anybody have any idea what's going on and
suggestions for a fix? Thanks.

It's probably a permissions problem.
Try right-click on the installation program, and select "Run As
Administrator."
