changed to classic for all user, but leave the access to change back to the
vista gui if they so desired. does any one have any ideas?

Let him, he's breaking new ground. Someone has to be first.

More like breaking wind... not ground..
If it was his idea, he will be fired and his boss will make sure he will not
find another job..

I have no problem installing vista. we have been testing for over a year and
have all of our applications working flawlessly. it just takes time and
research to get what you need out of an OS. the same thing was said about
windows XP.

Vista is 20-30% slower than XP, this means that in 100 work hours your boss
will get 20-30% less work done because the
users of the OS will be waiting more to do various functions,
that XP can do much faster.

tell that to your boss and then let him decide what is best... if he doesn't
care about production and efficiency ok..

by all means install vista

the same thing was said about

Do not even dare to compare XP with Vista. Vista is like windows98 to
windowsMe thats the only comparison that fits.

The same thing that was happening then (people formatting winMe machines to
install win98Se) is what is happening with Vista and XP.

You have got a malignant OS on your hands.. take my advise.. don't even dare
to install it in a work environment.

I googled the term "same profile for all users and vista and found several
possible solutions. This one looks promising.

Set up the 'default user' that way. Let us know how it works.
