clean install do i need sp1 & sp2

i'm doin a clean install of xpp reformattin & all. i'm not scareda sp2. do i
need sp1 & sp2 or is everything from sp1 in sp2?

Sp-1 not necessary. Go to Windows Update to get further updates after SP-2.
