Clean install of Vista Home Premium

I just did a clean install of Vista Home Premium 32Bit and all went well but i have no internet connection. installed the software that came with my mobo and that installed fine but i still have no internet connection. when i go to device manager it says all driver are up-to-date but it cant check the internet for them. Im kinda stuck at this point. Any sort of help will be much appriciated!
