Hello.

I'm a person that likes to clean my computer from temporary files that
lurks all over my harddrive. I didn't actually know about this future
untill I was at my cousins house and saw that this option popped to
him:

http://www.vistax64.com/attachment.p...8&d=1183850160

He's sitting on Vista Premium so I find it a little odd that this
option is not avaliable to me as I'm using Ultimate.

So, is there any way to make that message pop up for me? It's really
annoying that you have to login to every account just to delete files.
So, having that option would be sweet.

Please, is there any good hearted soul who could help me?

Thanks!

Hi abe90,

Welcome to Vista Forums. arty:

This is part of Disk Cleanup. You can see how to use it here.

Thank you for the quick response. However, I've already gone through
that guide and that's where I got the picture linked in the first post.
I try to start cleanmgr from the Search menu after I've pressed on the
Start Button. The only message that pops up is actually "Choose
Harddrive", C: or D:.

-*"NOTE:* You will not see this unless you have more than one drive or
partition on your computer."-

Worth to say is that I have two harddrives, so why is that message not
popping up?

Cheers.

abe90,

Are you running Disk Cleanup from within a Administrator account? I do
not believe you will have this option from within a Standard account.

Brink! I've solved the problem by simply enabling the UAC control from
the User Account interface. Restarted Windows and that option popped up!
Sweet.

Thank you for taking your time responding to my issue. They were not in
vain my friend

Abe90,

I'm afraid that I'm stumped to. I do not know why you would not have
the option "Files from all users on this computer" when you run Disk
Cleanup.

Sorry,
Shawn

LOL,

We must have posted at the same time. I did not see that one until now.
I'm glad that you resolved your problem. I will add your discovery to
the tutorial. Thank you for the feedback.
