how clean Vista driver repositories?

for example, I just took down my HP printer and replaced it with a Canon.
I did get back about 350MB of space, but there's still easily 200MB of HP
drivers in the system32 repository and the sxs repository.

I know of no safe way to do so, and no real reason one should want or need
to do so.
