Note that the setting is for 31 days after BEING DOWNLOADED. So a
2-year-old post that you downloaded just last week still has about 3 weeks
to go before WM deletes it from your hard drive. Not 31 days from when the
message was posted.
I have my WLM set to 35 days. In this vista.general NG, for example, I see
18,017 messages reported at this moment. The oldest one is dated 10/26/07,
but that started a thread with a reply on 11/11/07. The earliest OP is
dated 11/6/07 - 35 days ago.
