Clearing A open with link

Hi

I recently made all my .dat file open with (surfer) the program isn't the
problem but I know that previously I’ve had problems when .dat files are
affiliated with another program I was wondering how do you remove the opens
with affiliation so my .dat files don't try to open with and program.

Find a .dat file hold SHIFT right click on it then select Open With then
select choose your
default program then select the program then put a check mark in "always use
the slected program to open these files"
