"CLICK TO ACTIVATE..."

Since doing the latest Windows update, I've noticed an annoying little thing
that happens whenever I log onto a web site now:

When I place the cursor/arrow over any link in the web site, I get an
instruction saying, "Click to activate and use this feature"...or words to
that effect. So, now I have to double click everything, and it's just
ticking me off BIG time, mostly because it's making some web site features
unusable.

Can anyone tell me how I can turn off this annoying little feature?

Someone told Bill Gates no and he didnt like it. So, you get to suffer.
Search the internet for Microsoft, active X and lawsuits. You'll get the
answer pretty quick.

I tried your Internet search, Chuck, and it seems to me that it's up to the
owner/operator of the web sites to fix the "problem" by installing some kind
of patch. If I understand the situation correctly, there's nothing really
that I can do about it, but will just have to hope the web site takes care of
business...and the business community generally seems to be pretty annoyed
about it.

Some info here:
Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912812
Controls that prompt before they are loaded

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912812/en-us

You won't be able to "deactivate" the changes after June 11 anyway, so
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917425/en-us isn't a real solution you
should rely on.

Bye,
