That could be a problem. FWIW I have frequently had problems
mysteriously clear up by deleting the site name from Trusted Sites
and then just letting them get Default level security in the Internet zone.

i changed the setting to Default Level (for Trusted sites) and still have the same problem. i've turned off all security software.
i've restarted IE and restarted the computer. i've checked whether javascript will run by visiting other links referred to in the
faq. i've updated java. i've put all microsft sites into the trusted sites security group with the Default Level (low). is there
something wrong with the IE settings that haved to be changed in the registry?
