I keep getting a very loud clicking sound every now and then. It isn't
constant but it keeps coming up every few seconds. And my wife says that she
is getting a whooshing sound that , sounds like a jet starting. She is using
earphones, but is not having any problems with them while listening to
anything else.

She has a labtop with cam and mic built in form Toshiba (we have never had
problems with) and I am on a new Desktop,I am also using a Logitech QuickCam
Communicate Stx Webcam w/ a microphone ........

Does anybody have any idea why this is happening and what we can do to fix
it. It makes it impossible for us to talk to each other. She has to use the
earphones by the way because she is in a library. I tried using the Audio and
Video tools part on the MSN Live Messenger and it says everything is fine on
that end.

The only thing I can think of is the Logitech Webcam ....But I don't
know.....So any help would be appreciated .
Mike

I got almost simulair problems with sound and webcam chat.....

what you can try is: click on alt - tools - options - connection.
there is the status of the connection. it should say something like:
you are connected to the internet via Upnp. When it says something
like: it is not Upnp, then you have to figure out how to enable Upnp in
your router/modem

Second thing was: i connected a Usb1.1 webcam to a Usb2.0 pci card. (Should
be no problem however people could not understand what i say.) Adding an
Usb2.0 cam and the problem was solved. Is your webcam usb2.0 and is it
connected
to an usb 2.0 input?
