I am running a WSUS without issue but one of the XP client machines has
stopped reporting in 9 days ago. Nothing has change on the XP client and all
other 200 clients are reporting in without issue. I cannot figure out why
this one client stopped reporting in. Any thoughts?

I'll take a stab at it but I'm not really qualified for this other than
being able to use a search engine. Does this apply?

In fact there's a huge amount of information available here:

Hi,

You might want to run the "Client Diagnostic Tool" found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserv...s/default.mspx

And some log files you can look at to see if there is something
else wrong:

%windir%\WindowsUpdate.log
and
%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\ReportingEvents.log

(%windir% is typically C:\Windows or C:\Winnt)

Note that the text goes pretty far out to the right on the latter file,
turn off any line wrapping in your text editor.

and:

How to read the Windowsupdate.log file
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902093

And a fyi:

Please post WSUS related issues to the newsgroup dedicated to WSUS:
microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services

WebNews link to the WSUS newsgroup:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...pdate_services

Or use a newsgroup reader (default Outlook Express) to access this new
group:

Clicking on this link should open this group in OE:
