Client says 0 updates found, server says many waiting updates.

Recently installed WSUS 3.0 on W2K3 server w/ IIs6. Everything seems
normal. The update services snap in reports many many updates
available for my clients. The update log, reports that it found 0
updates on the client. The log reports the server name correctly,
seems to get everything else right too. This is across the board for
my LAN so I am assuming it has to be something with the server. I have
placed clients in groups by registry and manually, no effect either
way. It seems there is communication going on as it should just the
client and server don't agree on the amount of content.
Forcing an update (wuauclt /detectnow) does not return any errors in
the WindowsUpdate.log
