I currently have 2 windows 2003 print servers. I would like to put all the
printers on one server and then cluster them. In the end I would like them
to be in a windows 2008 64 bit print cluster. I am in the planning stages
and am wondering what will have to the existing printers that are installed
on the users workstations (xp). Will all the printers have to be
reinstalled? What name is the printer addressed by in the cluster?

Hi,

Checkout the printer migration tool kit it is now build in in windows 2008

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserv...age-print.aspx

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserv...grator3.1.mspx

Checkout this link for the windows 2008 stuff

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc722360.aspx

And there is also a nice blog item from kurt.

All this info should get you started.

Greetings,

Robert
