I have a Windows 2003 Active-Passive Cluster running a third party
application. One of the things this application does is, through Adobe,
sends a print job to one of two printers.
Now the problem is there are times when the printing slows down, about 10 to
20 minutes from the print command being sent to the printer to the page
actually being printed. I've watched the spooler and it goes right to the
printer without any delay.
The way the previous admin set this up was sending it to a printer installed
on each node. I'm thinking I can speed things up and make it more efficent
if I actually set up a Print Spooler resource and have all the printer go
through that, instead of whichever printer is installed on each node.
I don't know if many people have a lot of clustered apps that utilize
printers and how they set them up. Any advice?
Thanks,
