cmi config audio

Hi
A few hours ago I downloaded what was represented to be an upgrade from
windows upgrade. It was a cs audio driver which hopelessly fouled up my
computer to a fare-thee-well and removed all ability to play audio.

I finally got the original realtec driver back (rolled back driver after
spending an hour learning I could do that) but now I get a message that
windows cannot load cmicofg.cpl in the control panel. HELP.

correction... it can't load cmicnfg.cpl
I assume this is part of the upgrade microsoft gave me. would appreciate
help on this one
