The error indicates that the update never fully downloaded.
Suggest you download them from the MS Download Center and
*save* them:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
Enter the KB number in the 'Search All Microsoft Download Center' field
then click the magnifying glass icon to initiate the search.
EX: Entering KB973593 in the 'Search All Microsoft Download Center'
yields: Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB973593)

When the updates are all download, close *all* open programs and browsers.
Now install them one at a time, restarting the system if prompted to.
IF there's an installation issue, MS offers *no-charge* support for
getting Security updates installed:
