I had the same problem just now. I checked the event veiwer and found two
events. The first said:

"Product: Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 -- Error 2330.Setup cannot get
attributes for file F:. Verify that the file exists in your system and that
you have sufficient permissions to update it."

The next said:

"Product: Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - Update 'Update for Outlook 2007
Junk Email Filter (kb944965)' could not be installed. Error code 1603.
Windows Installer can create logs to help troubleshoot issues with installing
software packages. Use the following link for instructions on turning on
logging support: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=23127"

My drive F: is a DVD drive. Odd that it would want access to that. I checked
drive F: and found that it contained a blank CD. I remove it and reran the
update. This time the update completed sucessfully.

good luck

Louis,

I found the same exact thing - well not f: drive but.... My drive is a
BLU-RAY burner and it contained a blank blu-ray disc (im saving the disc for
a special occassion since they cost so much). Once I removed it several
updates started working PLUS a java update that was wanting to update also
failed. So the trick is to check the event viewer and if you have that error
- check to make sure you dont have a blank cd/dvd/blu-ray in the drive. I
didn't test it with a disc that contained data because im lazy.

K thks.

okay so i just had this same error on windows 7 and the problem seems
to be that a full install of Microsoft office was not done due to
clicking the recommended install button....if this was the case you have
to reinsert the install disk or install location (IE. external hard
drive/flash drive) so windows update can access the files on the disk to
implement the updates

so if this error occurs for anyone else just simply either reinstall
Microsoft office or insert the install disk into the CD tray

this error also included errors simila to "WindowsUpdate_dt000" or
"WindowsUpdate_0000091A"
