That all sounded very suspect, so I did a search on that executable
that you downloaded, a very brief search and I didn't go through
more than the first page of a google search results but revealed
is that codec_udata2.7.exe is malware.

From one search result, found that all uptodate anti-virus tools
have definitions that may now identify this specific executable, but
back in september when this specific executable was new and
seemingly from search results was spread via dubious file
sharing sites and binaries etc. In septemper only one tool listed it
as suspicious. But now it is an established threat:

A fully functioning and uptodate firewall should have alerted you to
at least perform a full AV scan before opening the executable.
A good intergrated anti-virus and firewall application would have
scanned as you downloaded and prevented you opening it.
What is indicated is that you do not have uptodate/adequate
protection on your computer.
The .avi file you downloaded is a container that also contained
malware, you have now downloaded and installed an executable.
You are going to have serious problems.
I suggest you do a search on both the .avi file name
and that executable to find methods of removal.
You should also install fully functional anti-virus and firewall tools.
If you have been bittorrent'ing and binaries downloading without
sufficient protection, your PC is probably totally infested.
This is not the group for help with the sort of problems you'll be
having. All the big names in online protection will have groups
and forums where you can seek help.
In a search check out: Norton, Kaspersky, McAfee.
Good luck.
