colors in the messenger window

I type in color, but once i enter it, It turns to black, how do i get the
color in the window...

I have the exact same problem. Did you already found out how to solve it?

no i never did figure it out, i just got tired of it and went back to 7.0. I
really didn't like live messenger.... When they decide to put the color in i
will redownload it.
