COM Surrogate

What does the message "COM Surrogate has stopped working" mean, and how can I
stop the box containing it from showing when I start up Vista?

First question I always ask, do you have Nero installed? If not, then I
don't know the answer. If you have, upgrade to the latest version (7.5.8.0)

First answer I always give is "yes" I have Nero installed but I have version
7.5.8 and this bloody window is still popping up. I've also renamed Nero
files as directed in this group to no avail. Doesn't anyone have a fix for
this? Microsoft? Ahead?

I downloaded a Vista Codec pak which seems to have fixed the problem. Many
are against this but I haven't received the error since installing it.
