Combining Updates

Why doesn’t Microsoft combine update sites to a single site? Ex. Combining
Windows update with Office Update. Have it as the Windows update site, but on
the left-hand menu, list other office products you can choose to update. I am
sure there is a way to scan a users computer to find their products. And if
that becomes an issue, have the user select the products they have so you can
deliver all Microsoft product updates from one central site. Just a thought.

Acerayl,

Who says they aren't doing just that? Microsoft Update is in beta
testing and will do as you've stated.

Not everybody has Office so why would they want to waste time doing an
update if part/most of the update did not pertain to theur system?
