the command menu does not appear on my msn home page...I checked ALT and that
still does not add it.

TaurArian's guess -

I *think* the OP means the "menu bar" doesn't display in IE.

To display the menu temporarily you press the ALT key but if the OP wants it
to be displayed permanently, then the OP must click the Tools menu on the
menu bar and select Menu Bar.

Although I could be completely wrong and the OP will just have to provide
further information.

Could be, but the my.msn.com page format was revamped about a month ago and
the previous "on-page" toolbar (with dropdown menus) was replaced.

I'd doubt it...but my CrystalBall© is only working at 50% power this week.
