Command window - history?

I need to open and close different command windows.

When I open a new one, it does not have history of any line command
that I typed in previous command windows.

How can I keep such history and make it available in any new command
window that I open?

You keep it in your head or make a hard copy in a txt document. No history available
in the command window

Rethink your use of the computer and just run one instance of the
command window. Minimize it when you are doing something else. You
should then be able to go back to the previous commands easily.

Alternatively you can have multiple command windows open at the same
time. Just switch between them to see the history of each.
