Common shared folder with "limewire" between two user accounts.

I have limewire installed and would like to share the same files, from the
same folder regardless of which user is logged in.

Everything seemed easy as i tried to place the shared folder in the public
folder. but when i select it in limewire, the program says the folder is
invalid or i do not have permission to write to it.

I suppose what i am asking is, how do i change permission to the folders.

Thanks in advance

It would be much easier to share a folder outside of your user profile. Why
not create a folder like "C:\Downloads" and direct Limewire to use it for
downloading all of your completely legal files (sorry, couldn't resist)?

If both users have admin rights, you should both be able to access it with
no changes.

The Public folder is intended for this purpose, but following this
suggestion will work as well.

This does not hold true in Windows Vista, since limewire does not run with
administrator rights by default. You will need to modify permissions to
allow this to work. To change permission on the folder:

- Browse to the folder you need access to
- Right-click it
- Click Properties
- Click security tab
- Click Edit
- Click Add
- Type: Users
- Press enter
- Click the checkbox under Allow next to Full control
- Click OK
- Click OK
