What does "Add to compact view" mean. It comes up when I right click on a
folder. I can't find it anywhere in the help.

I must be missing something. All the shortcuts look the same. A folder
with an envelope on it? I can hover over them to see their names, but how
am I suppposed to be able to do efficient drag and drop with many look like
unnamed icons???

I want the OE Outlook Bar back!!!!! waaaaah. I want OE6 back too.

As an aside, from a design perspective, this compact view part of the UI is
totally unintuitive. Since when does one shrink a non-compact folder
heirarchy and end up with a totally unrelated list of (generic, meaningless)
icons? They are not a "compact" version of the account/folder heirarchy.
It just makes the other go away. They are not related. compact vs. full
NOT.

I have 5 accounts and large amounts of Imported Folders in a multi-level
heirarchy. I need some serious shortcut ability. This compact view is far
from satifsactory. It is hard enough keeping messages properly filed as it
is. WLM will be WORSE! I will likely end up looking for alternatives mail
clients.

If I can't utilize my many ImportedFolders easily in WLM, may as well start
from scratch elsewhere.

Can we expect some improvements in this area in future releases?

Msft has not revealed when the next version will be available or to what extent concerns remaining and raised since release(2008
and 2009 versions)will actually be addressed in future versions.

Until then, even though some of your comments/issues have been submitted before...

Does anybody have any fresh insight into whether folder names will ever exist in compqact view? This is driving me insane, considering canning W7, back to OE or outlook. Please be so kind to e-mail me any response to . Thank you.

Folder names do exist upon hover. If full folder names were added to compact view, then the view
would not be compact...
